International Common Used Specifications:

 

1. T-6Al-4V (ASTM F136)

Composition: T1-6Al-4V (aluminum 6%, vanadium 4%)

Elastic modulus: about 110 GPa

Tensile strength: 1100MPa (annealed state)

Application: skull prosthesis, knee prosthesis, bone plate, screws, etc.

Development trend

1. Low modulus: By adding elements such as Nb, Ta, and Zr, the elastic modulus is reduced to 55-80GPa, matching human bone tissue (10-40GPa).

2. Functional design: Add antibacterial elements such as Cu and Ag to inhibit bacterial infection Beams (such as T-5Cu alloy).

3. Additive manufacturing: Use metastable B titanium alloy (such as T-15Mo-5Zr-3A1) to manufacture complex structures through 3D printing technology.
